We finally finished recording all of the ensemble tracks for the original New York cast album of STANDBY. Thank you to Nadim Issa of Let ‘em In Music for welcoming us into his studio. Also, a big thanks to Brian Camarao for capturing the experience for everyone to enjoy.

STANDBY casts Ana Hoffman as Cynthia

We are proud to announce Ana Hoffman will be playing the role of Cynthia in the concert reading of STANDBY set to debut on October 20-22, 2011 at the American Theatre of Actors in New York. We are excited to have Ana join our amazing and talented cast. Come see the show!

About Ana Hoffman
Ana is originally from Houston, TX where she studied at Sam Houston State University, acquiring her BFA in Musical Theatre. In 2009, she made her acting debut at The Apollo Theatre where she starred in the musical revival of Dreamgirls. From then on she spent the entire year performing across the U.S. and Japan in the 2010 National Tour of Dreamgirls. She has recently performed in the staged readings of The City Club Musical (destined to debut in Toronto Dec. 2011), Becoming Tennessee, and The Harlem Ladies Knittin’ and Bitchin’ Society. She studies at the Susan Batson Actors’ Studio with Stuart Burney.

First off, congratulations to Nick Anastasia for his prestigious opportunity to join the International Tour of the Voca People in Paris, France this Fall. We are thankful that we had this time to work with such a fun, talented, collaborative, and inspiring performer. We will miss you Nick and look forward to your updates from Paris!

We are honored to welcome two additional members to the cast. Preston Maguire is our new Jonathan and Jacob Kornwolf is our male understudy. We have had a blast getting to know these gentlemen thus far and are eager for the rest of the team to get to know them as well. Check out these videos of their previous work!

We are proud to announce the staged reading of STANDBY: The Musical will premiere at the American Theatre of Actors (ATA), 314 West 54th St, NY, NY! Mark your calendars for October 20, 21, and 22!

ATA is one of the only repertory theaters in New York City to have 4 theaters in one easily accessible location in Manhattan’s Theatre District. The moment we saw the Sargent Theater, we fell in love with it! We know you will to!

About American Theatre of Actors

We are seeking talent who are collaborative and possess strong lyrical and/or soulful voices! They are also amenable to being interviewed on video discussing the storyline, character & overall development of the show, etc.
